2019 again on tour
Standing ovations in major cities in Germany and Austria - the past tour of "Simply The Best - The Musical" was a complete success. More than 33,000 spectators from Hamburg to Vienna were literally torn out of their seats and celebrated with the ensemble the sixtieth stage anniversary of the rock diva, which was in 2018. Due to popular demand, the show will return to Germany, Austria, Belgium and Switzerland in 2019.
Already the world premiere of "Simply The Best" in Frankfurt am Main on February 28, 2017, was unanimously celebrated by spectators and media representatives. "Musical sparks Tina Turner fever," raved the ARD magazine Brisant after the premiere. With the musical biography about the legendary Tina Turner, successful producer Bernhard Kurz and tour promoter Oliver Forster delivered the show to a unique career. "Simply The Best" depicts the eventful life of the rock icon with lots of live music and impressive scenes: from the initial successes, the hard time with a drug-addicted and violent husband, the failure of a great love and finally, after the separation, Tina's new beginning and rocket-like rise in the 80s to the film music of "James Bond 007 - Goldeneye" in the mid-90s.
With over 180 million records sold and countless number 1 hits and chart-topping hits such as "Simply The Best", "Private Dancer" and "We Don`t Need Another Hero", Tina Turner became famous worldwide. Her legendary concert in 1988 at the Maracanã Stadium in Rio de Janeiro was experienced live by 188,000 spectators - for which she even received an entry in the Guinness Book of Records.
"Simply The Best" is another musical biography from the successful forge of producer Bernhard Kurz and brings the unique sound of the "Queen of Rock" once again live on stage. Kurz has been a true great in show business for more than 20 years. Music and entertainment are his great passion. With the successful show "Stars in Concert", he has become a recognized expert in the field of double shows over the course of his career.
Since 1997, he has produced the Las Vegas live show, which is one of the most successful productions in Europe, with more than 6,000 performances at Berlin's Estrel Festival Center alone and over four million viewers. Kurz is also responsible for the musical successes "all you need is love! - The Beatles Musical", "ELVIS - The Musical" as well as "Thank you for the music - The ABBA STORY as a MUSICAL".
