Síolta means "the seed" in Gaelic, an evocative name for a band that draws on Irish tradition. In 2020, the band's debut album was released and after hearing pre-production from "Magnetic Music," an agency often referred to as the nation's folk hotbed, they signed Síolta. Now they stand on the music scene alongside some of the hottest Irish and Scottish bands of the moment - and that's where they belong.
The band features Irish singer-songwriter Saoirse Mhór, bassist Thomas von Haefen, flutist Brian Haitz (who also has Irish DNA), violinist Stefan Emdean and guitarist Michael Busch.
Síolta's music is inspired by old ballads, so the songs have ties to the past but are also modern. However, it is the authentic performance that popularizes. Again and again, the music is created live on stage - and this gives off the musical joy that the audience experiences. The seeds that are sown simply must sprout anew every time.
