The SKaTeWeeK celebrates skate culture for one week. After having to take a break for two years, the festival will be held in Frankfurt for the first time in 2022. The diverse program includes an exhibition at Galerie Lachenmann (Hinter d. Schönen Aussicht 9, 60311 Frankfurt), which is on display there until the festival Sunday, an Open Best Trick Session (Thursday) at Hauptwache, a Rave Race (Thursday) at Osthafen, a Speed Challenge (Friday), a film night in the courtyard of the old police headquarters (Friday), a flea market at Naxos Atelier (Saturday), an Open Bowl Contest (Saturday) at Skaterpark Osthafen and much more.
The festival wants to bring people closer to the culture around skateboarding and show that skating is much more than just a sport. Therefore, all those who have not yet been infected by the skater virus are also welcome to join the festival.
