Sofar Sounds Frankfurt is an event series whose name stands for "Songs From A Room", meaning private concerts in an intimate living room atmosphere.
Founded in London in 2010, Sofar Sounds is now present in 261 cities worldwide. In May 2015, Frankfurt am Main also joined the large Sofar network and is now organized monthly by five Frankfurt students.
Sofar Sounds is aimed primarily at lovers of live acoustic music. And unlike other concerts, the audience here sits together in a relaxed space and listens to the musicians.
Three acts from all over the world are invited per evening, which enjoy the full attention of the audience but are not announced beforehand.
Even the specific location is communicated to the visitor only shortly before the show. After he has registered online, he will receive a personal invitation.
A Sofar concert can take place in very different places and in all districts in Frankfurt - sometimes in a bar or a Café, sometimes in a hairdresser's salon, a studio or even in very private living rooms.
