Pianomusic / Modern Classic Concert at MUSEUM WIESBADEN
Sweet Apocalypse - Tour Fall 2017 - Since the year 2000, the post-apocalypse has reigned. An apocalypse that never happened, though. No global system crash, no aliens, no giant meteorite, no extinction of our sun. Not even the old favorite pants finally shredded. Of course, this doesn't mean that the fear of the end of the world has therefore disappeared - quite the opposite. On "Sweet Apocalypse", his third album, this time recorded on the London-based Mercury KX label and released here via Deutsche Grammophon, Lambert, the masked pianist, deals in a very personal way with fears, many of which are known to haunt the past far beyond today, in twelve compositions. Sometimes he gives comfort, sometimes he caresses the listener with melancholy, sometimes he develops a larger-than-life pathos out of fear and lets you float above things. And remains quite that enigma that already defines him on his first albums.
