Saxophonist Piet Klinger has been living his passion for swing music for many years. After beginnings in the late 80s in his first band with drummer Tommie Harris, he has been playing with his swing band for many years now, occasionally internationally, especially for swing dance parties of the swing revival scene. . For many years he has been leading a very popular jam session in the traditional jazz cellar "Cave" in Heidelberg. Accompanied by a professional rhythm section, musicians and vocalists who have succumbed to swing fever meet every Thursday to get to know each other in spontaneous interplay, to inspire each other, and to build up to ecstatic solos. At these sessions, the great spirit and glamour, the immortal songs and the infectious rhythms of the legendary swing era of the 30s and 40s come to life again at the Orange Peel.
