Baritone Michael Havlicek is not only an internationally successful singer, he is also a true Viennese. In many solo evenings the charming singer tells about the "golden Viennese heart". He has poems, recipes, sayings and stories from his homeland in his luggage and he sings the most beautiful Viennese Heurigen songs, sometimes sentimental, sometimes enigmatic.
For his evening in Rüsselsheim he has invited a prominent comrade-in-arms, the soprano Claudia Goebl. She is also a true Viennese child, with great successes on the international opera and operetta stages. On top of that, she has an extensive repertoire of Viennese songs and has already won several competitions with them.
The Wiener Strauss Ensemble comes under the direction of Russel McGregor, who is considered the "wienerischster" Australians. He has lived and worked in Vienna for more than 20 years and has also earned a great reputation as a stand-up violinist. With his exclusive violin by Carlo Giuseppe Testore from 1697 and with his musicians, he makes guest appearances not only in Vienna, but also regularly in other European countries, Asia, the Middle East and Australia.
