"I just like good music, and you can find it everywhere." Nemanja Radulovic is a border crosser. His musical home? The world. "I think we can draw our inspiration from different traditions, from different cultures and genres," the Serbian-French violinist, whose fiery temperament reaches into his wild lion's mane, is certain. Radulovic is at war with conventions and stresses, "It's very important to show yourself on stage as you really are, and not just pretend to be something." Boots and leather pants are the outfit he feels comfortable in, but he clearly does in Tchaikovsky's Violin Concerto. He has an intuitive feel and knack for its wild passions and the tightrope walk between showy virtuosity and tender lyricism. And when pure joie de vivre sounds from the final movement, Radulovic is completely in his element.
