"Watt is en Dampfmaschin? 150 Jahre Dampf, Technik, Spiel" is the name of the current special exhibition at the Museum Großauheim, based on the quote of the same name by teacher Bömmel in the legendary classic film "Die Feuerzangenbowle". The title also gives a hint to the famous engineer James Watt, who was instrumental in the invention of the steam engine. More than 200 historic steam toys and steam models from three major Frankfurt collections in the special exhibition will not only make enthusiasts' hearts beat faster. The small machines turn out to be real treasures and invite visitors to marvel and play along.
On selected Sundays, a special family program is offered from 2 to 5 p.m. in the current special exhibition at the Museum Großauheim: The passionate and expert collector Wolf Kaiser shows
playfully how a steam engine works and revs up the rarities in miniature with spirit and real steam. Steam engine models not on display in the exhibition will also be put into operation.
All interested visitors pay only the regular museum admission of three euros for adults and one euro for children for the
event. A family ticket costs six euros. No registration is necessary.

Further Kinderkult(o)ur dates
