Adventurous Jean-Pierre Bonbon, called Partout, has traveled all the way from France to Berlin to become an assistant to Professor Alexander von Humbug, a famous explorer with a daring penchant for bold ventures.
But what happens?
Nothing! Just dusting off old books and even older tomes, all day long. It can't go on like this, Partout decides, and comes up with the brilliant idea: a mysterious message in a bottle is needed!
And before he knows it's gone, he and the professor find themselves on a dramatic search for the hitherto unknown and undiscovered economy lamp fluorescent diode fish!
So begins an exciting adventure by land, air, and sea that takes our two exploratory explorers past weary pirates, sad icebergs, green whales, and the fabled island of Hula-Hula to the other side of the world and a bit beyond.
