Storming of the Römer
On Saturday, 14 February 2026 from 1:11 p.m. onwards
This is simply part of Carnival in Frankfurt, just like doughnuts: the storming of the Römer by the Frankfurt guards and the foolish Frankfurt prince and princess. This culminates in the handover of the city key from the acting mayor to the carnival revellers. The whole event is accompanied by an atmospheric supporting programme.
