There have been legends surrounding the STRASSENJUNGS since they became pioneers for NewWave/Punk/NDW in 1977 with their LP "Dauerlutscher". In 1979 bassist/vocalist Nils S. founded the TRITT label and produced the album "Wir ham ne Party" with new musicians, making the Frankfurt band the cult band of the 80s for teens and twens at parties and demos (see Rocklexikon, rororo).
Nafter the tour with CLASH and the rock-against-right-festival '79 they are in the TopTen of the most popular live bands in Germany.
Their rock satire songs land in the independent charts, on the web charts, and appear on many samplers (total sales over 500000 copies).
