Sonja Rudorf was born in 1966 in Frankfurt am Main. After graduating from high school, she studied German language and literature and graduated with a master's degree. Encouraged by a workshop scholarship from the Literary Colloquium Berlin, she began work on her first novel, which was published by Rotbuch in February 2000 under the title "Die zweite Haut". Narratives and further novels followed. Sonja Rudorf lives as a writer and lecturer in creative writing in Frankfurt am Main.
Rosa Ribas is a Spanish novelist and crime writer. She studied Hispanic Studies at the University of Barcelona and received her PhD on the subject of travellers in the 16th and 17th centuries. In 1993 she moved to Frankfurt and worked as a lecturer at the university there. In 2005, Ribas became professor of applied Spanish studies at Heilbronn University. In 2008, she gave up her position to devote herself entirely to writing
