Working on a performance as a Sisyphean task - physical and mental effort with no tangible result. Revealed characteristic of hard work in the field of performative art is the secretion of sweat. Extensive sweating becomes a promise of artistic dedication and expenditure: no sweat, no gain. If sweating is a measure of physical labor, can it also become a measure of artistic labor? What role do quantity and quality of the sweat produced play and in what way does it make time and space visible? Sweat Life welds together and interrogates perspiration as a basic collective state in theatre.
