The freedom and democracy movement in Sudan finds itself in an extremely dangerous situation at the latest with the hundred-strong deadly crackdown on the sit-in in Khartoum a few weeks ago. It is all the more important that the Sudanese diaspora positions itself and sends supportive and solidary signals to the fighters. This is to be done today with a music festival that is sure to be a hell of a lot of fun - because the Sudanese music scene here in Europe, too, is incredibly multifaceted. The festival has been hastily organised given the urgency - we're adding to it here piece by piece. The festival will end at 8pm, weather permitting, due to the subsequent Hafenkino Open Air film. Should the film be postponed due to bad weather, the festival would possibly be partly or completely indoors and could go a bit longer in that case. Stay tuned!
