With "Endstufe", his seventh album, the gifted street poet Summer Cem made a furious return at the end of July. "Endstufe" is Summer Cem's third album in three years to reach the top of the German charts, following its predecessor "Cemesis" as well as the acclaimed collabo album "Maximum" with KC Rebell - and his sixth in a row to enter the Top 10 overall.
On top of that, he placed a staggering 22 singles in the German Top 100 in the past two years alone.
With that, the German-Turk from Mönchengladbach is definitely one of the most successful German MCs in the rap scene. Between January 10 and 25, Summer Cem will go on a big tour through Germany, with concerts in Hamburg, Cologne, Hanover, Munich, Stuttgart, Frankfurt, Bremen as well as Berlin.
Summer Cem's followers especially appreciate his great humor, with which he portrays social ills ironically. He does this again eloquently on his latest album "Endstufe". Since the end of March, Summer Cem has released a staggering seven singles from the record, all of which entered the German singles charts - including two top 10 hits with "Tamam Tamam" and "Casanova".
Now Summer Cem is embarking on a major indoor tour in early 2019; it should be remarkable celebrations of the spoken word, where his fans will soon be able to rap along blindly to every line of text.
