The open-air cinema with the most beautiful view of Frankfurt: This is without doubt the summer cinema on the roof of the Haus am Dom directly next to the Kaiserdom. From 20 July to 12 August, there are not only eight exciting, funny, poetic and thought-provoking films on the roof terrace at Domplatz 3, but also a view of the roofs of Frankfurt's newly rebuilt old town and the skyscraper backdrop in the evening sun.
Lucky
Vignettes from the life of an old man in the Arizona desert, condensed into a moving portrait of a man who has learned to cope with loneliness and the awareness of mortality. A wholly unpathetic, wordless film that penetrates to the roots of existence, in which the fear of death gives way to the serene acceptance of daily rituals. (D 2018, R: John Carroll Lynch)
