The open-air cinema with the most beautiful view of Frankfurt: This is without doubt the summer cinema on the roof of the Haus am Dom directly next to the Kaiserdom. From 20 July to 12 August, there are not only eight exciting, funny, poetic and thought-provoking films on the roof terrace at Domplatz 3, but also a view of the roofs of Frankfurt's newly rebuilt old town and the skyscraper backdrop in the evening sun.
Tehran Taboo
An animated film created in rotoscoping that condenses the stories of three women and one man in Tehran into a gritty morality tale of contemporary Iran. The deeply internalized double standards of a society in which libertarian debauchery certainly takes place, but is kept taboo and hidden, become clearly visible. The result is a painting of a country based on strong contrasts, in which escape or resignation seem to be the only options. (D 2017 R: Ali Soozandeh FSK 16)
