The jazz quartet 4 to the bar is unquestionably a pioneer of lounge culture, as it found its way into bars and nightclubs in the 90s. Elegance, a sense of style and understated luxury are back in fashion. There is a new lust for the hip side of jazz, for the musical lifestyle of the sixties and, of course, for the music to go with this retro lifestyle. The quartet around bassist and singer Andreas Stroh knows perfectly how to let the soundtrack to the newly awakened Latin and swing style resound.
Light-footed bossa nova, relaxed samba or cool swing- there is always a twinkle in this live band's eye and above all: it always sounds contemporary. In the past approx. 20 years, 4 to the bar have conquered the clubs and stages of Europe with their "jazz-chic".
