In August, the Schirn invites you to the popular SUMMER HANGOUTS on Wednesdays, starting at 7 pm. In a relaxed atmosphere, you can listen to live music by Gianni Suave (D.M.W.T.W), agajon, Candy Pollard, Chuala or VALENTIN on the steps in front of the Schirn. Also served will be a selection of snacks and delicious drinks by Badias Catering.
Before the SUMMER HANGOUTS, the Schirn will offer additional public tours of the exhibition "Ugo Rondinone. LIFE TIME". At 8 p.m., there will be an introduction in each case to "Aernout Mik: Double Bind / Thrershold Barriers."

The artist collective Don't Mess With The Weather (D.M.W.T.W) knows no boundaries and avoids genre conventions. With this claim, it curates the first evening of HANGOUTS. A live performance by rapper Gianni Suave and DJ sets by agajon and Candy Pollard combine tracks ranging from hip hop and neo soul to urban jazz and electronic music.
CHUALA
WEDNESDAY, 10. AUGUST
Chuala is a singer-songwriter and was nominated for "Newcomer of the Year" at the 2021 New Music Awards. Her sound blends various genres and expresses her personal enthusiasm for different genres of music.
VALENTIN
WEDNESDAY, 17. AUGUST
Musician VALENTIN is self-taught. Everything, from the idea to the final product, she generates herself. With driving drums and a mix of fashion techno, electro-pop and fusion she mixes up the music scene. Under the pseudonym Ruth Malina, she also became known throughout Germany as a painter.
