SUMMER HANGOUTS: ON THREE EVENINGS THE SCHIRN LOADS TO ART, CONCERTS BY SOPHIA KENNEDY, CASEY KETH AND THE GHOST OF HELAGS, AS WELL AS DRINKS AND SNACKS Slowly the summer is coming to an end. So now it's time to enjoy every warm day and enjoy every great summer event. This includes the Summer Hangouts, which will be offered in front of (and in) the Kunsthalle Schirn on three evenings. On the occasion of the summer exhibitions PETER SAUL and PEACE, there will be concerts, drinks and snacks on three Wednesday evenings. After a public guided tour of the exhibitions, at 6:30 p.m. on each occasion, visitors can experience three different music acts in a cozy atmosphere on the steps in front of the Schirn/Eingang Römerberg: On August 30, 2017, the US singer-songwriter Sophia Kennedy will be our guest. On September 6, 2017, singer and guitarist Casey Keth will perform, and on September 13, 2017, the Swedish-German ambient electronica duo The Ghost of Helags will perform. This will be accompanied by a selection of original snacks and delicious drinks served by Badias Catering from Schirn Café The current exhibitions PETER SAUL and PEACE will be open until 10pm on these evenings. Tickets for both exhibitions are EUR 9 regular and EUR 7 concessions. WEDNESDAY, AUGUST 30, 2017 Sophia Kennedy advances songwriting art into experimental pop, pushing the traditional boundaries of genres. Her varied compositions, full of musical quotations, shimmer between doo-wop, house and indietronic. The 27-year-old US-American recently released her debut album on DJ Koze's label Pampa Records. WEDNESDAY, SEPTEMBER 6, 2017 Malaysian-born singer Casey Keth lives and produces in Frankfurt am Main and impresses with his incisive soul voice. Over the years he traded mixing desk, sampler and computer for paper, pencil, piano and acoustic guitar, with which he will play a moody blues for sundowners. WEDNESDAY, SEPTEMBER 13, 2017 Berlin duo The Ghost of Helags enchant with Scandinavian ambient electronica. To the synthesizer melodies produced by sound designer John Alexander Ericson, the haunting vocals of singer Teresa Woischiski float and blend into a danceable, soulful tapestry of sound
