Namika
A rhythm that apparently all of Germany has picked up on: Her first official single "Lieblingsmensch" sensationally reached #1 in the charts, simultaneously went gold and was indispensable in the Top 3 for another eight weeks. Almost consistently, her debut album "Nador", which has since also reached gold status, peaked at #13 and stayed in the Top 30 for a total of just under three months.
An invitation to the Bundesvision Song Contest and the New Music Award followed, as well as being chosen as a testimonial for the Apple Music campaign. With such a huge media response, it's no wonder that Namika was nominated in two categories at the prestigious 1LIVE Krone radio award in 2015. In 2016, the ECHO followed suit with three nominations. In early 2017, Namika was awarded the European Border Breakers Award 2017 for emerging artists.
Musically, Namika moves between hard beats and soft sounds, combining alternative pop with hip-hop beats and oriental sounds. Her songs are about love, complicated relationships, split identities and painful experiences. If you want to feel it live, you can do so at selected festivals in 2017.
Teesy - Festivals 2017
After his album "Glücksrezepte", Teesy went from strength to strength. His first own tour was sold out in just 24 hours, he placed third at the Bundesvision Song Contest and was the first German artist to get the privilege of an iTunes Session EP, something previously reserved for the big names in the music business and especially English-speaking artists.
In July 2016, two years after his debut, Teesy released his second album "Wünsch dir was". The first single "Jackpot" featuring Cro made it as the highest new entry in the Top 300 after only two weeks, ahead of Flo Rida and Xavier Naidoo. The album spent two weeks in the German Top Ten. At the latest with the video for "Wen rufst du Nachts an" it became clear where the musical journey is going.
His distinctive and versatile voice not only goes into the ear, but deep into the soul and is reminiscent of performances by Prince, D`Angelo and Curtis Mayfiled. The Berliner was also nominated by Radio Fritz for the New Music Award 2016. In 2017 finally comes what many fans have long been waiting for: Teesy brings his synthesis of blues and urban funk live to the stages of clubs and festivals.
Support: Vona
When Vona turns 10, his grandmother gives him a guitar for his birthday and he starts playing. At the age of 15 he comes to VfB Stuttgart via the Württemberg selection and plays there over two years first in the C and then in the B youth. Music took a break during this time and his goal was clearly a career as a professional footballer. However, a cruciate ligament rupture puts a spoke in his wheel and just before things really get going, the dream bursts.Through this setback, Vona learns to appreciate an old love anew: Music.
After graduating from high school, he and some friends buy an old VW bus and tour Europe for three months as street musicians. Back in Germany it is clear to him that music is exactly what he wants to do from now on.In the meantime a few years have passed and many things have been created: His first EP "Deine Liebe", which catapulted the previously unknown artist to number 16 in the iTunes album charts within a day, the chance to accompany Cro as support on his MTV Unplugged Open-Air Tour and a first tour of his own, which was completely sold out within a short time.
