In Germany, Austria and Switzerland Patricia Kaas gives about 20 concerts with her outstanding band. Her greatest hits such as "Mon mec à moi", "Mademoiselle chante le Blues", "Il me dit que je suis belle", "Entrez dans la lumière", or "Je voudrais la connâitre" are as much part of the program as the impressive, multi-layered songs from her current CD. The ambitious tour schedule includes 175 shows around the globe. On July 6, Patricia Kaas will make a guest appearance at the Zitadelle in Mainz.

The new studio album, the tenth of her career and the first with tailor-made tracks in thirteen years, is a kind of individual renaissance with which she overcomes personal doubts and finds her way back to herself. With it, she succeeds in creating an elegant collection of strong and beautiful songs that touch the listener.

Born in Forbach, Lorraine, Patricia Kaas has sold some 19 million records worldwide, including one million in Germany. In 1987, her first album "Mademoiselle chante le Blues" was released. In the same year she performed for the first time at the Olympia in Paris, where the careers of Edith Piaf, Jacques Brel, Gilbert Becaud and Charles Aznavour also began. Since then, Patricia Kaas has gained a large international following with original material as well as individual song choices.

More than 1,000 concerts around the world have earned her a reputation as an extraordinary and highly individual performer. On her last world tour, 400,000 spectators experienced her live. Highlights included concerts at the Olympia, London's Albert Hall and Carnegie Hall in New York.

Her tribute to the chanson "piano bar" documented her fascination with an intimate and passionate style. Of course, she added her own arrangements and a modern take. With the CD "Sexe Forte" she put another exclamation mark.

She presented a fantastic journey through time with her show "Kabaret", a reference to three music and cultural centers of the 30's. Songs from Marlene Dietrich's Berlin, gypsy swing from Paris and tango Argentino combined to create a varied round dance.

A landmark was her outstanding tribute, "Kaas chante Piaf," which juxtaposed two voices and two destinies. With an album and a live show, Patricia Kaas remembered Edith Piaf, whose career and life continue to move people today.

As a live performer, Patricia Kaas, the towering French star of the modern era, unleashes all her skills. Full of passion and dynamism, the perfectionist with the formidable stage presence shows all facets of her talent. Versatility, versatility, charisma and sensitivity are among her great strengths.
