Live: Yvonne Mwale and Tarq Bowen
NFollowing the great reception last year, the Brotfabrik is celebrating a summer festival in the courtyard again this year! Because on the premises of the former Hausener Brotfabrik there is much more besides concerts and parties - the Frankfurter Autoren Theater, the dance school Kizomba-Fabrik, the Melo-Bar, the restaurant kp21, psychotherapeutic projects, a law firm etc.
On the small stage in the courtyard Yvonne Mwale from Zambia and the Englishman Tarq Bowen play. Both live in the Rhine-Main area by now. Yvonne Mwale has already been on our stage several times and enthused the audience with her rousing mixture of Afro-Jazz and Soul and her strong stage presence. The current album "Msimbi Wakuda" is clearly also inspired by the blues - she played the record release concert in September 2016 where? At the Brotfabrik, of course.
The young blues singer Tarq Bowen is also no longer an insider tip in Frankfurt. With his velvety voice Tarq beds his audience on a cushion of harmonies and melodies. He makes his guitar cry with sorrow and sing with joy. And before you get too comfortable with his voice, things get unawares raucous and wild.
There will also be a dance workshop for children, a theatre performance, a kizomba taster class, paella, barbecue and cake.
In case of bad weather, the summer party will take place in the different premises.
