Benefit concert by S!UNA for the benefit of the Mainz Palliative Foundation.
Everyone knows them: those magical minutes when everyday life takes a short break and you let your thoughts run free. Since their debut album "Kopfkino" in 2011, the five guys from Mainz of "So! .und nicht anders" (short: SUNA) have made it their business to evoke these moments in their listeners. "Teilzeithelden"is the third studio album from the secret lady heroes.
And despite the usual charmingly unplanned emceeing, the childlike delight in coordinated chaos on and off stageand the occasional boy band attitude - the guys are starting to grow up. The current program emphasizes the facets that the Fastnachts-Revoluzzer do not present at "Mainz bleibt Mainz" in front of an audience of millions.
Cynically, they deal with veganism or the love song culture in German pop, only to switch on the thoughtful ballad mode or eloquent hip hop statements shortly thereafter themselves. SUNA enjoy celebrating the meeting with the concert-goers and still refuse stereotypical genre conventions.
So the award-winning a cappella singers manage to rise to everyday heroes, who may not save the world in their concerts but at least save the day of their listeners.
