Fiery pop music, sometimes classical, sometimes rocky or jazzy, with two guitars and two-part singing - that's the guitar duo "Love on the Rocks" of the two musicians Gerhard and Barbara Wiebe from Groß-Gerau. They present cover songs from pop, rock, folk, blues of the last decades and their own compositions in duet. Their section "embarrassing favourite songs" is usually particularly popular with the guests. The two musicians have been performing for decades in formations ranging from rock to jazz with guitar and saxophone.
The successful Sunday matinees of 2018 will continue in the new year. In collaboration with landlord Rocco Farruggia and supported by the Sparkassenstiftung, the Kulturcafé association has engaged high-quality musicians for the summer months and will offer a Sunday matinee approximately every month with free admission. The matinees will each start at 11am and last until around 1pm.
