It's not over until the fat lady sings or The choir in the age of its technical reproducibility
What is more terrifying? The idea of being trapped inside your own head, or inside someone else's head? Just imagine that was your head talking to you right now! Or would you find it worse if you didn't recognize it at all, your head, and thought: What kind of idiot is that? Or if it were another head that spoke to you? And the room you are in right now, another head?
- The text and directing duo Susanne Zaun and Marion Schneider, together with their virtuoso choral ensemble, stage an absurd detective play. Inspired by the abysmal illusion machines of the US entertainment industry, the choir lures its audience on tantalizingly false tracks into a bottomless trap in which no one, certainly not the friendly hostesses, can be trusted anymore.
