A wonderfully brushed against the zeitgeist evening. The year can't get off to a better start - Götz Alsmann and the SWR Big Band are teaming up for the tenth time, guaranteeing enjoyable entertainment and rousing music. It will be exciting to see what the well-dressed gentlemen in bow ties and the man with the quiff of hair will once again lift out of the shallows of German pop music into the limelight. Special guest jazz singer Fola Dada will accompany the anniversary tour.
The meeting between the entertainer and the SWR Big Band was like love at first sight. "I can't help it, it just makes me grin all the time" says Alsmann. That, too, is what sets these evenings apart. All participants have visible and audible fun with each other and therefore standing ovations at the end of the almost two-hour concert belonged as a matter of course.
