The exhibition is part of the 'consecration' series, which invites female artists to occupy the extraordinary space of 'basement at AF' with site-specific works in three solo exhibitions. Tamsin Snow's work explores modern architecture, science fiction and cryogenics. For the exhibition 'Like, Flesh' Snow creates an installation in the atmospheric, subterranean exhibition space that combines sculpture, sound and CGI animation. In 'Like, Flesh' Tamsin Snow raises questions about the political and ideological basis of architecture and social spaces. The reality of artificial intelligence, suspended animation and developments in synthetic biology have sparked interdisciplinary debates about the applications of these technologies and their social implications. 'Like, Flesh' explores the notion of morphological freedom and the potential impact of these technologies on our future selves.
