The COMOEDIA MUNDI theatre festival is one of the permanent fixtures of the Frankfurt Cultural Summer. Even in these very difficult times for culture, the Tangente Festival is coming to Frankfurt with a new programme and a sophisticated hygiene concept. The programme includes the premiere of SORBAS, freely adapted from the novel "Alexis Sorbas" by Nikos Kazantzakis. It tells the story of an encounter between two very dissimilar people in a place of longing, Crete: Basil, a writer in search of meaning, meets Sorbas, a primeval rock. Known especially through the film version with Anthony Quinn, the stage version also asks the question of "What really counts in life" - a question that many people have asked themselves, especially in the past year.
On Sunday, 27. June 2021, pre-sales will begin and tickets will be served on the Main Riverbank in the Café Garden.
But please give priority to ordering tickets by email, as audience data must be collected to track any infections. Please collect reserved tickets directly from the box office at the marquee at 8pm.
