Tarq Bowen is quite an extraordinary new talent. Only 26 years old, he nonetheless knows his way around the world. His experience and nomadic nature have inspired many of his lyrics. With his velvety voice, Tarq beds his audience down on a cushion of harmonies and melodies. He makes his guitar cry with sorrow and sing with joy. And before you get too comfortable with his voice, it unexpectedly turns raucous and wild. Since he started playing at the age of 12, Tarq has evolved into an artist who combines the cynicism of a Charles Bukowski and the expression of John Keats with music. Tarq is an exciting new discovery and a bright light in this sometimes dark world. Having played over 1000 shows, Tarq Bowen is now no stranger to music. Recording with Pink Floyd's Nick Mason and support from the BBC are also sure to carry him further down the road to the big time.
