In 2010, Susan Tedeschi and Derek Trucks decided to put their successful solo careers on hold for a bit, because they were in the mood for more. The result, the Tedeschi Trucks Band and its twelve members, has since quickly become a vanguard of Modern Roots Music. Leading the band are two exceptional musicians, Trucks, who was voted 16th in the best 100 guitarists of all time by US magazine 'Rolling Stone', and Tedeschi, who is blessed with a voice that can passionately cover the full range from powerful R
AmpersandB tunes to beautiful ballads. Add to that two drummers, two other vocalists, a trio of horns, a bassist and a multi-instrumentalist on keyboards, and you've got a great collective of gifted musicians by any measure, where the sum is even better than the individual parts. Or to use the words of the enthusiastic US press: "A highly experienced groove machine" ('Los Angeles Times'), who present themselves as "a unique blend of musical chemistry, as loose as it is cool as it is hot and soaring" ('Relix'). It's no wonder, as the Tedeschi Trucks Band went on to win a Grammy in 2012 with their debut 'Revelator'. The dynamic live album 'Everybody's Talkin''' followed in 2012, and the critically acclaimed follow-up 'Made Up Mind' was released in 2013, providing lasting support for the Jacksonville band's growing reputation as a leading blues rock institution. By the end of 2014, after guitarist Derek Trucks left the Allman Brothers Band for good, the band decided to shift more of their focus to their legendary live performances. Nonetheless: their third studio album, "Let Me Get By," was released on February 5, 2016.
