Telmo Pires is "Fadista", poet, composer and one of the few men in the world of Fado who appears internationally. SER FADO represents his idea of an old fado that always sounds new. Pires is an extraordinary artist: born in the north of Portugal, he spent most of his life in Germany. This is where his career began, his first albums were produced. A few years ago he left Berlin and went to Lisbon, adventurous and willing to take risks. In 2011 he recorded his album FADO PROMESSA here. In 2014 he was invited to perform at the "Museu do Fado", the highest authority of contemporary fado, in Lisbon. The enthusiasm after that first, sold-out concert was so great that the Fado Museum became co-producer of the new album.
