Post-rock veterans The Album Leaf, led by Jimmy LaValle, bring together a unique blend of primarily instrumental music, with some light jazzy accents, IDM textures, and sound recordings from everyday life. In addition to his past and current projects Tristeza and The Black Heart Procession, collaborations with Mark Kozelek (Sun Kil Moon) and members of Swervedriver and Interpol, Jimmy LaValle has been creating rapturously meditative melodies under the name The Album Leaf for 18 years now.
For his new album, released August 26, 2016 on Relapse Records, he commissioned artists such as Dntel and Daedelus to craft remixes.
After touring the continents extensively already with Sigur Rós, The Album Leaf now return to Germany for some headline shows.
