The Argosonics were brought to life by trumpeter and vocalist Jason Schneider, who - following his passion for funk - used his extensive connections in the Frankfurt music scene to unite experienced musicians into a band. The strong line-up skilfully mixes their influences from jazz, rock and pop to a rousing mixture and creates idiosyncratic and at the same time catchy songs, in which the soloists surprise and the rhythm section grooves until no foot can keep still. In a charmingly unpretentious nonchalance the attitude towards life of the funk era is brought to life and transferred into the modern age. Beyond glossy aesthetics, the result is an authentically raw sound that transports the adventurous crew - inspired by the eponymous Greek saga "Jason and the Argonauts" - to the height of time towards the future.
