Fantastic stories by Franz Hohler - ages 6 and up
The world is full of wonders, and from every incident, no matter how whimsical, Swiss author Franz Hohler spins short stories full of humor and imagination. All these stories are collected in his "big book", from which the Theaterhaus Ensemble draws inspiration for a new play. Together with director Elisabeth Gabriel, the actors have selected a few stories that now come to life on stage with set and costumes, show and puppetry, light and sound and all the trimmings:
A girl disappears on the shelf of a supermarket and reappears in Italy. A wanderer finds shelter with a kindly old man whose house is turned upside down. Two boys find an ancient treasure map and, indeed, an ancient treasure in the middle of Frankfurt. Mr. Zogg's clothes go to work one morning without him. A small avalanche saves lives and a girl investigates the mystery of the missing sheets.
