They come from Detroit, but their idols are clearly Scandinavian. The Black Dahlia Murder bounce blithely back and forth between death metal and metalcore and, as befits these subjects, are also delightfully fast.
In their now eight-year career and after three records by now, the line-up of the rhythm section, of all things, has changed several times, the eternal stress of touring putting too much strain on the band's old members. Currently Shannon Lucas hammers the drums into the ground, what remains is the extremely raw sound, shredding guitar riffs and lyrics that make the blood run very pleasantly in the veins of the fans.
The Black Dahlia Murder are still not full after several hundred concerts.
