What should you do when you want to end a friendship because it has only become an obligation? Pierre and Clotilde ask themselves this question, because their longtime friendship with Antoine has long since ceased to be what it once was. So they give a farewell dinner without the friend knowing what he's been asked to do: they serve a bottle of wine from Antoine's birth year and his favorite food, put on his favorite music - only to break off contact afterwards. But unfortunately, everything goes wrong: Antoine gets wise to the two and starts to fight. However, his attempt to save the friendship becomes more and more of a test for Clotilde and Pierre's marriage!
In this wonderful comedy, the author duo Delaporte and de la Patellière illuminate the different sides of the friendship optimization that has become fashionable. Is it worth stepping out of your comfort zone and re-engaging with the people you know, or does it justify retreating into a cowardly but polite delegation society? As in "The First Name", the two authors uncover the sensitivities bubbling beneath the surface with a great deal of linguistic wit and dashing sensitivity, showing once again that idiosyncrasy is the salt in the soup of interpersonal relationships.
