The assumption that what is written down determines our realities puts everyday life in startling proximity to what happens on stage in theatre, performance and choreography. But while there, as here, we are required to forget the script and look at reality, in the context of the lecture series we would like to ask what it is about the reality of the script itself: Who writes before and after what happens in black box, white cube or public space, and how? As part of the F°LAB Festival, Jonathan Burrows will talk about the gaps between. Burrows is one of the most important protagonists of contemporary dance in Great Britain. He began his career as a solo dancer with the Royal Ballet in London, but as early as 1988 he founded the Jonathan Burrows Group, with which he has toured worldwide. Burrows teaches at Anne Teresa De Keersmaeker's training centre P.A.R.T.S. in Brussels and as a visiting professor and honorary doctor at the Department of Drama and Theatre at Royal Holloway University in London. His book A Choreographer's Handbook (2010) sold over 13,000 copies. Text source and further information about this event: https://www.mousonturm.de/events/the-gaps-between/
