After the great successes in the past three years, Circus Carl Busch will also be a guest at the Festplatz am Ratsweg this year for the 2016/17 Christmas season. From 17 December to 8 January, the renowned company of the Wille Busch family presents the 4th "Great Christmas Circus". Experience the classic circus triad of animals, clowns and acrobats in the blue and white tent palace of the German National Circus Carl Busch. But in this case, classic certainly doesn't mean dusty: thanks to modern lighting technology, creative staging ideas and rousing live music from a six-piece orchestra, Carl Busch presents circus tradition at the height of the times. You can expect world-class artists, clowns and animal trainers! Look forward, for example, to the courageous Swiss Gengis van Gool, who not only practices crossbow shooting in the tradition of Wilhelm Tell, but also performs daring capers on the wheel of death. Also performing are Alex and Volha Suslov from Russia with an adorable house cat dressage act, modern clown and jokester Pascal de Boer and antipodist Kimberley Lester, who juggles carpets and footballs with her feet.
