The great Puccini evening

Opera and operatic drama - the Papageno Musiktheater presents famous arias, duets and scenes from Puccini's most beautiful operas in the first part of this special evening with many vocal soloists.

In the second part, the Papageno ensemble performs the comedy "Gianni Schicchi" from Puccini's Tryptichon as an opera play. With his own creation, theater director Hans-Dieter Maienschein has created a platform for actors and opera singers to interpret the subject matter of classical operas in a very unique way in the evening program.

Kammersängerin June Card will lead the first part of the evening, which has the motto "Best of Puccini". She presents young, talented up-and-coming singers with the most beautiful arias, duets and scenes from famous operas by Giacomo Puccini.

Buoso Donati is dead, died in the presence of all his relatives. The rumor that he had bequeathed his estate to a monastery leads the heirs to search for the will, which is then found and confirms their fears. In desperation, they bring the famously clever Gianni Schicchi into the house to solve their problem. The shrewd peasant triumphs over an entire greedy family clan to the amusement of the audience and deprives them of their inheritance through double deception.
