"Sinking new buildings. Swampy department stores." A shopping center is slated to open just outside a small town. A prestige project of the mayor, which should make the city more attractive. But no sooner is the building up than there are the first cracks in the concrete, bog water from underground making its way back to the surface.
And then a serial killer is also causing trouble for the politician's opening plans.
One after another, women's corpses are found on the moor, with only a boggy hole with bite marks around the edges gaping in their chest instead of their heart. In order not to endanger the opening ceremony, the ambitious mayor commissions a night watchman with a covert investigation.
He plans to set a trap for the heart-eater.
And what better way than with a woman's heart?

With a series of murders taking place in
.Styria in 1786, Ferdinand Schmalz, Young Playwright of the Year 2014 (Theater heute), has written a grotesque, tragicomic farce about love, capitalism, consumerism and perversion.
