With a musical mix from swing to funk, the Big Band of the Wiesbadener Musik- & Kunstschule "Big Noise" entertains its audience from 3 to 5 pm from the concert shell.
Familiar tunes from "Route 66" and "In the Mood" to movie titles like "Skyfall" and "Rocky Theme" to rock and funk songs will be played.
Thereby, the Big Band of the Wiesbadener Musik- & Kunstschule e.V. has been focusing on the fun of making music together for 23 years. Bridged in the formation with about 20 musicians between 15 and 65 years under the direction of Dieter Guntermann all ages and styles - from traditional swing to funk, film music and rock, there is something for everyone.
Regular appearances at district festivals and jazz events in the Rhine-Main area have contributed to the band's good reputation even beyond the borders of the Wiesbaden Music- & Art School e.V.. At concerts of the hr-Big Band at the Kulturform at Schillerplatz "Big Noise" has been heard several times in the official opening act.
