"Please continue to write in this annoying way about topics that for some readers are tantamount to a colonoscopy" - such gems of the comment column can be found in "Die letzten Tage des Patriarchats" (The Last Days of Patriarchy), a best-and-worst-of album in which journalist Margarete Stokowski gathers not only a selection of texts from seven years of working for the taz and Spiegel Online, but also repartee and correspondence with her readers*. Arranged according to keywords such as "men" or "belly, legs, buttocks", the texts form a chronicle of the political debates of recent years. Sexism, gender and feminism are the coordinates. For some: probably the longest endoscopy in the world. For others: a plea with bite and wit for a more tolerable society.
