"The Mainsirenen" are giving two more performances of their new program "Mancademy" due to the sold out performances in October 2017 and January 18. This time they have a new guest choir with them again: "Donnacappella" with their new program "Happiness and Sorrow in a Pettikleid".
"Trau keinem über dreißig!" used to be called. Today, however, the over-30 parties often have the better atmosphere. Times change and with them "Die Mainsirenen": Always at the heart pulse of time! For their anniversary they present their new program "Mancademy" and ask from a gay perspective the question about the current male images and man images. It is about skills (What makes the man ready?) and skills (What is a man capable of?), which is why they visit the renowned coaching institute 'Mancademy'. With "Mancademy", an amusingly ironic and exciting show has been created in which the Mainsirenen, under the direction of Luzian Lange, once again give their all.
The Mainsirenen formed in 1987 and six months later chose Luzian Lange as their choir director. Since then they have travelled a continuous and adventurous path, which has led from pure song programmes to ever more sophisticated concepts. These can sometimes be colorful and scenic (1992 "A Night in the Gay Jungle", 1996 "Sisters' Westerns" or most recently in 2012 the anniversary program "Silvergirls go (g)old"), or quite abstract (1993 "Misslungene Trennungen", 2006 "The Gays and the Seven Deadly Sins" or 2010 "Dr. Hirschfeld's fabulous menagerie"). Usually, a new program premieres every two years. After the "Blicke" -program in November 2014, the "Mancademy" followed in 2017 for the 30th anniversary. As always, self-irony, fun and thoughtfulness result in a mixture with surprises and disruptions, for which the 30-strong a cappella group has been known since 1987.
