Shadowdance. Shadowdance. Shadow play. There are many terms for the genre. However, none is sufficient for the spectacular and exhilarating shadow show "Moving Shadows" directed by Harald Fuß. With astonishing precision and amazing ease, Die Mobilés create charming and inventive stories - from enchantingly poetic to ravishingly funny.
The mysterious shadow play of the "Moving Shadows" transports you to a fantastical world. The bodies merge artistically and become things, animals, plants - and people again. Supported by rousing music, a captivating round dance of images is created that awakens associations and emotions.
A play with light and shadow. Shadow play has been around since the dawn of mankind; over 2,000 years ago Plato described it in his Allegory of the Cave. The Chinese version with moving figures behind a transparent foil is also thousands of years old. In films, the play with light and shadow serves to build tension, for example in "Nosferatu" from 1922.
A more recent form is shown in the openings of the Bond films. The gracefully moving women become so small, by means of clever changes of position relative to the light source, that they appear to be able to twirl around on a Colt. Popular especially with children is the hand shadow theatre, where only the hands form figures. The composition of all these shapes with an additional portion of creativity results in our modern shadow theatre. Dive into our magical shadow world and enjoy a show of a class of its own! Winner "Supertalent" in France Creativity Award at the world's biggest comedy festival in Montreal Audience Award in Montreal at "Juste pour rire".
