THE MOVEMENT were already founded in 2002 in Copenhagen by Lukas Scherfey. This three piece power trio play mod rock, and they are influenced by such great bands as The Jam, The Who and The Clash. Their political idols are Rosa Luxemburg and Karl Marx!
They wear suits. Because the mod slogan: Clean living under difficult circumstances" is their motto. Their name stands for this very movement, The Movement! The band aims to shake up the youth and question everything.
There is a new generation of kids who are interested in political issues and who are resisting the global effects of capitalism and its mechanisms for exploitation, warfare and oppression. Young people are looking for truth and enlightenment in times of total manipulation and lying. The Movement is dedicated to these very issues and supporting this movement!
Whoever has seen The Movement live on stage knows how incredibly charismatic and stirring their stage performance and soul-rooted punk-influenced songs are!
