Christian mysticism can be understood as a conscious and reflected experience of the presence of God. What does this mean in both philosophical and practical life terms? Using the example of the Christian mystic Teresa of Avila, the approach is unfolded via a path of experience and conveyed by means of texts from her fundamental writings. Part of the basic course is a practical introduction to Christian contemplation.
