The naturCollege continues in 2018! This four-part course is devoted to human and primate physiology and attempts to provide an overview of this vast and exciting subject. You'll explore the question of how exactly our bodies work to keep us alive every day. It is based on independently functioning, highly specialized cells, which in turn are all made up of similar molecules. But how exactly does this alone make a functioning organism? First, you will get an overview of the most important systems without which we could not survive. With and without a microscope, you will of course also look at the cell to understand its structure and the way it works. Later, the functions of the individual systems will be examined. How is our basic supply covered, who supplies whom and what happens to the waste products? And to what extent can these systems be influenced positively or negatively by the environment, stress, the pharmaceutical industry and the like? with Dipl.-Biol. Margret Kessler A four-part workshop, each Thursday.
Dates: 11/13, 11/20, 11/27, and 12/04/2018, each from 6:30 to 9:00 p.m.Text source and more information about this event: https://www.senckenberg.de/root/index.php?page_id=66&cms_event_id=147
