Hallau! Colourful costumes, loud music and a good mood - that's what carnival is all about. The KOMM Center will not miss out on this pleasure and will offer visitors a varied program including an autograph session by the reigning prince and princess in cooperation with the resident Offenbacher Karnevalverein (OKV) on February 1.
Punctually for the carnival season, Prince Klaus and Princess Natalie von Lederanien along with their entourage will march into KOMM at 11:11 am. They will be accompanied by two Guggemusikzüge, which traditionally perform at carnival time. "We invite all carnival enthusiasts to join us for this entertaining spectacle and, while supplies last, to enjoy our free kreppel," says Center Manager Julia Steinmetz. After the parade, visitors will also have the opportunity to meet the prince and princess in person at an autograph session on the ground floor from 12 noon. Around 1 p.m., the duo will continue their march to the traditional storming of the town hall.
The people of Offenbach know the prince and princess Klaus and Natalie Eiserloh from city festivals and the Christmas market: the showman couple is represented here with bratwurst stands, children's carousels and candy stands. They prefer to spend their free time together with their sons. Early on, there were points of contact with carnival due to the longstanding proximity of their stands and the OKV stand at the Offenbacher Woche. For a few years now, the two have been getting a whiff of carnival air at the "OKV-Feuerwerk der guten Laune" (OKV Fireworks of Good Humor) - this is also where the desire grew to be prince and princess themselves one day and to wear the tiara and scepter.
