The robber Hotzenplotz is up to his mischief and has stolen grandmother's coffee mill! But he hasn't reckoned with Kasperl, Seppl and a determined old woman. Together they set out to retrieve the coffee grinder and encounter the great and evil magician Petrosilius Zwackelmann, an enchanted frog fairy, an invisible weed and other dangers! Will the grandmother get her beloved cold coffee in the end?
This solo play by the Berlin company Handmaids is a mixture of drama and puppet theatre. Sabine Mittelhammer, born 1983, is a graduate of the Hochschule für Schauspielkunst "Ernst Busch" Berlin Abteilung Puppenspielkunst, with a diploma. Additionally she has a degree in design from the University of Applied Sciences. She is a freelance puppeteer, works in various ensembles, has released her solo play "Die kleine Hexe" in September 2011, directed by Daniel Wagner, and "Der Räuber Hotzenplotz" in May 2014.
Daniel Wagner also studied at the Academy of Dramatic Arts'Ernst Busch'. He works as a puppeteer (Theater Zitadelle) and director and is also a lecturer at the university since 2008.
